The Wind in the Willows Caravan
| Description: | The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame was first published in 1908; the main characters were Toad of Toad Hall, and his many friends. The Caravan appears in the chapter entitled The Open Road. Toad tells how he designed the caravan himself but does not tell us that he got it all wrong. Traditionally the body of the van is red and the wheels would have been yellow he got his the wrong way round. The door to the van should be at the front but he put his at the back. Despite this Toad and his friends Rattie and Badger took to the open road with great relish.
Toad Rattie and Badger where commissioned from Miss Sally World.
